Al-Kawthar, the shortest surah, gives the Prophet ﷺ glad tidings of abundant good (al-Kawthar) and commands prayer and sacrifice for the sake of Allah.

۞

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

  1. 1 Al-Kawthar 108:1

    بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ إِنَّآ أَعْطَيْنَٰكَ ٱلْكَوْثَرَ

    Innaa a'taina kal kauthar

    Indeed, We have granted you, [O Muhammad], al-Kawthar.

  2. 2 Al-Kawthar 108:2

    فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَٱنْحَرْ

    Fa salli li rabbika wanhar

    So pray to your Lord and sacrifice [to Him alone].

  3. 3 Al-Kawthar 108:3

    إِنَّ شَانِئَكَ هُوَ ٱلْأَبْتَرُ

    Inna shani-aka huwal abtar

    Indeed, your enemy is the one cut off.
