بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

  1. 1 Al-Qaari'a 101:1

    بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ٱلْقَارِعَةُ

    Al qaari'ah

    The Striking Calamity -

  2. 2 Al-Qaari'a 101:2

    مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ

    Mal qaariah

    What is the Striking Calamity?

  3. 3 Al-Qaari'a 101:3

    وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ

    Wa maa adraaka mal qaari'ah

    And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity?

  4. 4 Al-Qaari'a 101:4

    يَوْمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلْفَرَاشِ ٱلْمَبْثُوثِ

    Yauma ya koonun naasu kal farashil mabthooth

    It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed,

  5. 5 Al-Qaari'a 101:5

    وَتَكُونُ ٱلْجِبَالُ كَٱلْعِهْنِ ٱلْمَنفُوشِ

    Wa ta koonul jibalu kal 'ihnil manfoosh

    And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up.

  6. 6 Al-Qaari'a 101:6

    فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ

    Fa-amma man thaqulat mawa zeenuh

    Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds],

  7. 7 Al-Qaari'a 101:7

    فَهُوَ فِى عِيشَةٍۢ رَّاضِيَةٍۢ

    Fahuwa fee 'ishatir raadiyah

    He will be in a pleasant life.

  8. 8 Al-Qaari'a 101:8

    وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ

    Wa amma man khaffat mawa zeenuh

    But as for one whose scales are light,

  9. 9 Al-Qaari'a 101:9

    فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٌۭ

    Fa-ummuhu haawiyah

    His refuge will be an abyss.

  10. 10 Al-Qaari'a 101:10

    وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهْ

    Wa maa adraaka maa hiyah

    And what can make you know what that is?

  11. 11 Al-Qaari'a 101:11

    نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌۢ

    Naarun hamiyah

    It is a Fire, intensely hot.
