In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

  1. 1 An-Naazi'aat 79:1

    Wan naazi 'aati gharqa

By those [angels] who extract with violence

  2. 2 An-Naazi'aat 79:2

    Wan naa shi taati nashta

And [by] those who remove with ease

  3. 3 An-Naazi'aat 79:3

    Wass saabi-haati sabha

And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming

  4. 4 An-Naazi'aat 79:4

    Fass saabi qaati sabqa

And those who race each other in a race

  5. 5 An-Naazi'aat 79:5

    Fal mu dab-bi raati amra

And those who arrange [each] matter,

  6. 6 An-Naazi'aat 79:6

    Yawma tarjufur raajifa

On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation],

  7. 7 An-Naazi'aat 79:7

    Tatba'u har raadifa

There will follow it the subsequent [one].

  8. 8 An-Naazi'aat 79:8

    Quloobuny-yau maaiziw-waaji-fa

    Hearts, that Day, will tremble,

  9. 9 An-Naazi'aat 79:9

    Absaa ruhaa khashi'ah

    Their eyes humbled.

  10. 10 An-Naazi'aat 79:10

Ya qoo loona a-inna lamar doo doona fil haafirah

They are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]?

  11. 11 An-Naazi'aat 79:11

    Aizaa kunna 'izaa man-nakhirah

Even if we should be decayed bones?

  12. 12 An-Naazi'aat 79:12

    Qaalu tilka izan karratun khaasirah.

They say, "That, then, would be a losing return."

  13. 13 An-Naazi'aat 79:13

    Fa inna ma hiya zajratuw-waahida

Indeed, it will be but one shout,

  14. 14 An-Naazi'aat 79:14

    Faizaa hum biss saahirah

And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface.

  15. 15 An-Naazi'aat 79:15

    Hal ataaka hadeethu Musaa

Has there reached you the story of Moses? -

  16. 16 An-Naazi'aat 79:16

Iz nadaahu rabbuhu bil waadil-muqad dasi tuwa

When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa,

  17. 17 An-Naazi'aat 79:17

    Izhab ilaa fir'auna innahu taghaa.

"Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed.

  18. 18 An-Naazi'aat 79:18

    Faqul hal laka ilaa-an tazakka.

And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself

  19. 19 An-Naazi'aat 79:19

Wa ahdi yaka ila rabbika fatakh sha

And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'"

  20. 20 An-Naazi'aat 79:20

    Fa araahul-aayatal kubra.

And he showed him the greatest sign,

  21. 21 An-Naazi'aat 79:21

    Fa kazzaba wa asaa.

    But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed.

  22. 22 An-Naazi'aat 79:22

    Thumma adbara yas'aa.

Then he turned his back, striving.

  23. 23 An-Naazi'aat 79:23

    Fa hashara fanada.

And he gathered [his people] and called out

  24. 24 An-Naazi'aat 79:24

    Faqala ana rabbu kumul-a'laa.

And said, "I am your most exalted lord."

  25. 25 An-Naazi'aat 79:25

Fa-akha zahul laahu nakalal aakhirati wal-oola.

So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression].

  26. 26 An-Naazi'aat 79:26

    Inna fee zaalika la'ibratal limaiy-yaksha

Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah].

  27. 27 An-Naazi'aat 79:27

    A-antum a shaddu khalqan amis samaa-u banaaha.

Are you a more difficult creation or is the heaven? Allah constructed it.

  28. 28 An-Naazi'aat 79:28

    Raf'a sam kaha fasaw waaha

He raised its ceiling and proportioned it.

  29. 29 An-Naazi'aat 79:29

Wa aghtasha lailaha wa akhraja duhaaha.

And He darkened its night and extracted its brightness.

  30. 30 An-Naazi'aat 79:30

    Wal arda b'ada zaalika dahaaha.

And after that He spread the earth.

  31. 31 An-Naazi'aat 79:31

Akhraja minha maa-aha wa mar 'aaha.

He extracted from it its water and its pasture,

  32. 32 An-Naazi'aat 79:32

    Wal jibala arsaaha.

And the mountains He set firmly

  33. 33 An-Naazi'aat 79:33

    Mataa'al lakum wali an 'aamikum.

As provision for you and your grazing livestock.

  34. 34 An-Naazi'aat 79:34

    Fa-izaa jaaa'atit taaam matul kubraa.

But when there comes the greatest Overwhelming Calamity -

  35. 35 An-Naazi'aat 79:35

Yauma Yata zakkarul insaanu ma sa'aa.

The Day when man will remember that for which he strove,

  36. 36 An-Naazi'aat 79:36

    Wa burrizatil-jaheemu limany-yaraa.

And Hellfire will be exposed for [all] those who see -

  37. 37 An-Naazi'aat 79:37

    Fa ammaa man taghaa.

So as for he who transgressed

  38. 38 An-Naazi'aat 79:38

    Wa aasaral hayaatad dunyaa

And preferred the life of the world,

  39. 39 An-Naazi'aat 79:39

    Fa innal jaheema hiyal maawaa.

Then indeed, Hellfire will be [his] refuge.

  40. 40 An-Naazi'aat 79:40

Wa ammaa man khaafa maqaama Rabbihee wa nahan nafsa 'anil hawaa

But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination,

  41. 41 An-Naazi'aat 79:41

    Fa innal jannata hiyal maawaa

Then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refuge.

  42. 42 An-Naazi'aat 79:42

    Yas'aloonaka 'anis saa'ati ayyaana mursaahaa

They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival?

  43. 43 An-Naazi'aat 79:43

    Feema anta min zikraahaa

In what [position] are you that you should mention it?

  44. 44 An-Naazi'aat 79:44

    Ilaa Rabbika muntahaa haa

To your Lord is its finality.

  45. 45 An-Naazi'aat 79:45

    Innamaaa anta munziru maiy yakshaahaa

You are only a warner for those who fear it.

  46. 46 An-Naazi'aat 79:46

Ka annahum Yawma yarawnahaa lam yalbasooo illaa 'ashiyyatan aw duhaahaa
