How does the Qibla finder work?
It calculates the great-circle bearing from your location to the Kaaba in Makkah using the adhan library. On phones that support a compass, the dial rotates as you turn so you can face the Qibla directly; otherwise it shows the exact bearing in degrees from North.
My compass isn’t moving — why?
Live compass needs a device with a magnetometer and permission to use motion sensors (on iPhone, tap “Enable compass” and allow access). If it’s unavailable, use the bearing in degrees with any physical compass or maps app pointing that direction from North.
Is the Qibla direction accurate?
The calculated bearing is precise to your coordinates. For the most accurate physical heading, calibrate your phone’s compass (move it in a figure-8) and keep it flat, away from metal and magnets.
Do you store my location?
No. Your location is used only in your browser to compute the direction and is never sent anywhere.
